Many people are starting to incorporate oak framed buildings and open bay carports as part of their home. These are mainly used for storing cars under, workshops or storing garden equipment. However, the weather stops this from being a dry environment.
Having a roller door installed on your carport rather than a standard up & over door is more beneficial. This is due to the roller door being tailor made whereas the up & over only comes in standard sizes so there will still be gaps around the door. This will let leaves, draughts and water into the carport or oak framed garage so you will be no better off. Another advantage of the roller door is that it is insulated and more secure. Making your carport or oak framed garage more secure means you will be able to store more valuable things without worrying.

Rolux UK used roller garage doors, which roll up into a box as the customer wanted the best space saving option. The customer chose the top specification in a Light Grey finish.
These doors are fully insulated with foam filled laths and weather resistant seals to the base of the door. There is also a triple seal in the guide to help prevent draughts.
They also provide high levels of security in the design and strength of the laths combined with the upgraded locking system and built in alarm.
